The chemokine CCL2 (also known as monocyte chemoattractant protein-1, or MCP-1) is upregulated in patients and rodent models of traumatic brain injury (TBI), contributing to post-traumatic neuroinflammation and degeneration by directing the infiltration of blood-derived macrophages into the injured brain.
Mouse CCL2 ELISA Kit Principle
This Mouse CCL2(MCP-1) ELISA Kit is based on sandwich ELISA, the CCL2(MCP-1) specific monoclonal antibody was pre-coated in the microwells, the CCL2(MCP-1) in sample or the CCL2(MCP-1) standard will be captured by the coated antibody, after wash step, the unbonded CCL2(MCP-1) will be removed, and then another CCL2(MCP-1) specific monoclonal antibody is added and incubated. After then, the plate is washed again, and the substrate is added. The color of the wells is positively proportional to the CCL2(MCP-1) in it. After adding the stop solution, OD values are measured with ELISA reader. Unknown samples can be calculated from the standard curve.

Result determination
The sample OD value is measured by an ELISA reader, then the standard curve is plotted. We recommend 4PL regression model or another equivalent model.
Storage and expiry
