Interferon gamma (IFN-γ) became well known for its pleiotropic immunomodulatory effects on both innate and adaptive immunity. As a soluble homodimer, IFN-γ has been shown to be secreted primarily by activated lymphocytes such as CD4 and CD8 T cells, gamma delta T cells, as well as NK and NK T cells. Additional sources include B cells and antigen presenting cells (macrophages, monocytes and dendritic cells).
Mouse IFN-gamma ELISA Kit Principle
This Mouse IFN-gamma ELISA Kit is based on sandwich ELISA, the IFN-gamma specific monoclonal antibody was pre-coated in the microwells, the IFN-gamma in sample or the IFN-gamma standard will be captured by the coated antibody, after wash step, the unbonded IFN-gamma will be removed, and then another IFN-gamma specific monoclonal antibody is added and incubated. After then, the plate is washed again, and the substrate is added. The color of the wells is positively proportional to the IFN-gamma in it. After adding the stop solution, OD values are measured with ELISA reader. Unknown samples can be calculated from the standard curve.

Specificity and sensitivity
The sensitivity is 3.24 pg/mL as MDD. The specificity is over 99%.
Result determination
The sample OD value is measured by an ELISA reader, then the standard curve is plotted. We recommend 4PL regression model or another equivalent model.
Storage and expiry
2-8 degree Celsius for at least 12 months.
