Interleukin-1 beta also known as leukocytic pyrogen, leukocytic endogenous mediator, mononuclear cell factor, lymphocyte activating factor and other names, is a cytokine protein that in humans is encoded by the IL1B gene. There are two genes for interleukin-1: IL-1 alpha and IL-1 beta. IL-1β is a key mediator of the inflammatory response. Essential for the host-response and resistance to pathogens, it also exacerbates damage during chronic disease and acute tissue injury. It is not surprising therefore that there is a huge level of interest in how this protein is produced and exported from cells.
Mouse IL-1 beta ELISA Kit Principle
This Mouse IL-1 beta ELISA Kit is based on sandwich ELISA, the IL-1 beta specific monoclonal antibody was pre-coated in the microwells, the IL-1 beta in sample or the IL-1 beta standard will be captured by the coated antibody, after wash step, the unbonded IL-1 beta will be removed, and then another IL-1 beta specific monoclonal antibody is added and incubated. After then, the plate is washed again, and the substrate is added. The color of the wells is positively proportional to the IL-1 beta in it. After adding the stop solution, OD values are measured with ELISA reader. Unknown samples can be calculated from the standard curve.

Result determination
The sample OD value is measured by an ELISA reader, then the standard curve is plotted. We recommend 4PL regression model or another equivalent model.
Storage and expiry
2-8 degree Celsius for at least 12 months.
